Terms of Service
MashupMaker Terms of Service
Effective date: October 31, 2026
Summary
- You need to be at least 18 to use MashupMaker, and you sign in with Google.
- Generations use credits. Credits are deducted when a generation starts and returned automatically if it fails.
- You can request a refund within 7 days of a purchase if you have used less than 5% of the credits from it. Automatic renewals are not refundable once the new billing period has started. See the Refund Policy.
- Mashups are for personal, non-commercial use. You must hold the rights or permissions for both songs; a subscription does not license them.
- Questions go to [email protected].
This summary is for convenience. The full Terms below apply.
1. Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms are an agreement between you and MashupMaker (mashupmaker.net) ("MashupMaker", "we", "us", "our"). These Terms govern your access to and use of the services available at https://mashupmaker.net (the "Service").
By creating an account, subscribing to a plan, purchasing credits or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, that you have read and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy, and that you are authorized to accept them for yourself or for the organization you represent. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The Service
2.1 What We Provide
MashupMaker combines the vocal from one uploaded song with the backing from another, with audio separation and browser-based alignment, mixing, preview and download. It also provides browser-only nightcore, slowed-and-reverb and key/BPM tools.
The Service is a digital product delivered over the internet. Access and credits are granted immediately after a confirmed payment.
2.2 Third-Party AI Models
MashupMaker is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by any AI model developer. Source audio is separated by a third-party audio processing provider, then the final mix is rendered in your browser.
The availability and performance of the Service depend on these models and on the providers that host them. The browser-only free tools apply local audio processing without sending your files to an AI provider.
3. Accounts
- You sign in with your Google account. Provide accurate and complete information, keep that account secure and do not share access to it.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account.
- Tell us at [email protected] if you notice any unauthorized use.
- Keep the email address you use for billing up to date.
- If you register on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are authorized to bind it to these Terms.
4. Plans and Credits
- Credits. Each generation uses credits according to the model, mode and settings you choose. The cost is shown before you generate. Credits are deducted when a generation starts and are returned automatically if the generation fails.
- Subscription credits do not roll over. Credits included in a monthly plan are valid for the current billing period: they expire shortly after the period ends, and unused credits are cleared when the plan renews. Credits included in an annual plan are valid for 365 days.
- Credit packs are one-time purchases. Their credits are valid for 365 days from purchase unless a different period is shown at checkout, and they are not affected if you cancel a subscription.
- Free credits. New accounts receive 10 free credits, valid for 30 days. Free credits have no cash value.
- Order of use. When you hold credits from more than one source, the credits closest to expiry are used first.
- Usage limits. To keep the Service stable, the number of generations you can run at a time and per minute is limited and varies by plan.
Current plans, prices and credit amounts are shown on the Pricing page. We may change or discontinue features and plans with notice. A price change to an existing subscription only applies from a later renewal, as described in Section 5.
5. Payment and Renewal
- Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor. Card details are handled by the payment processor and are never stored on our servers.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. By subscribing, you authorize the recurring charge for your plan.
- Credit packs are one-time purchases with no automatic top-up.
- Prices are shown in USD unless stated otherwise. Taxes may apply depending on where you live.
- If we change the price of your plan, the new price applies only from a later renewal, after we tell you about it.
6. Cancelling a Subscription
You can cancel at any time in Settings → Billing, or by emailing [email protected] from your registered email address. Cancelling stops future renewals. Your plan and its credits stay available until the end of the current billing period, and you will not be charged again. Separately purchased credit packs are not affected.
7. Refunds
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In short:
- You can request a refund within 7 days of a purchase if you have used less than 5% of the credits from that purchase.
- An approved refund covers the unused share of the purchase, minus a 5% processing fee.
- Duplicate charges and billing errors on our side are refunded in full.
- Automatic renewals are not refundable once the new billing period has started. Cancel before the renewal date to avoid the next charge.
- Credits that have been used are not refundable.
- After a refund, the remaining credits from that purchase are removed from your account.
- Rights you have under applicable consumer law (for example in the EU, the UK or Australia) are not affected.
To request a refund, follow the steps on the Refund Application page.
8. Billing Disputes and Chargebacks
If you think a charge is wrong, please email [email protected] before disputing it with your bank. We will review it and correct any confirmed billing error.
If you file a chargeback, then when we receive notice of it, the remaining credits from the disputed purchase are removed and new purchases on your account are paused. Purchases are re-enabled once we confirm the dispute has been resolved.
9. Your Content and Outputs
9.1 Ownership
You keep any rights you already hold in the content you submit and in your own creative contributions to a mix ("Outputs"). Processing a recording does not transfer or grant rights in the underlying recording, composition, lyrics or performance.
9.2 Commercial Use
Mashups made with this Service are for personal, non-commercial use, regardless of subscription tier. A subscription does not license the source songs. Publishing a mashup to another platform may lead to a copyright claim, blocking or removal. You are responsible for obtaining all permissions needed for your use and distribution.
9.3 Your Inputs
You keep your rights in the prompts and files you submit ("Inputs"). You give us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process your Inputs only to provide the Service. You must own the necessary rights in both uploaded songs or have permission from the relevant rights holders to upload, separate and mix them. Before uploading, you must tick the audio-rights confirmation in the tool. The confirmation is required before either audio upload can begin.
9.4 Accuracy
AI-generated content can contain errors, artifacts or inaccuracies, and similar prompts can produce similar results for different users. Review Outputs before you use or publish them, and disclose that they are AI-generated where required.
9.5 Private Audio and Local Exports
We do not provide a public gallery for mashups. Uploaded source audio and the separated audio parts generated by the service are stored privately with access checks and short-lived signed delivery links. Each server-stored audio asset expires 24 hours after it is registered or created. At expiry it becomes unavailable, and an automatic scheduled job deletes it; failed deletions are retried, so physical removal may finish after the 24-hour mark. Download anything you want to keep before it expires.
The final mixed WAV or MP3 is rendered and downloaded in your browser, rather than uploaded as a final mix to our servers. Copies you download remain on your device until you delete them. Nightcore, slowed-and-reverb and key/BPM tools process audio locally without uploading it.
9.6 Copyright Complaints
Email [email protected] with the subject "Copyright Complaint". Identify the copyrighted work, provide the relevant URL or task description/identifier, explain the alleged infringement, and include your name and contact details. Include a good-faith statement that you believe the disputed use is not authorized by the rights holder, its agent or the law, and confirm that you are the rights holder or authorized to act for them. We will review and take appropriate action within 48 hours of receiving the complaint, and may request information needed to identify the task or verify the claim.
9.7 Our Platform
We keep all rights in the MashupMaker platform, brand and interface. Do not copy, reverse engineer or redistribute the Service.
10. Content Policy
10.1 Prohibited Content
You may not use the Service to create, upload or share:
- Sexual content (NSFW): sexually explicit, pornographic or nude content of any kind, including suggestive content of identifiable people.
- Violence and gore: graphic violence, gore or torture, or content that promotes, glorifies or threatens violence, self-harm or terrorism.
- Hate speech: content that attacks, demeans or incites hatred or discrimination against people based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age or similar characteristics.
- Child sexual abuse material and content that endangers minors (CSAM): any content that sexualizes, exploits or endangers minors. We have zero tolerance: such accounts are closed and the content is reported to the relevant authorities.
- Deepfakes and impersonation: content that shows or imitates a real person's face, voice or likeness without their consent, face swaps of real people, content that impersonates public or political figures, or content meant to deceive viewers about where it came from.
- Copyright and trademark infringement: content that copies protected characters, works, brands or logos, or otherwise infringes someone else's intellectual property.
10.2 Other Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
- Generate content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing or fraudulent.
- Seek or produce technical instructions for creating chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear weapons or other weapons of mass destruction.
- Circumvent the Service's security features or usage limits, including by using automated scripts or multiple accounts to collect free credits.
- Resell access to the Service or credits without our prior written approval.
- Use the Service or its Outputs to train or develop a competing AI model.
10.3 Safety and Enforcement
You must confirm audio rights before uploading. We review reported content and accounts and may remove content or restrict access for policy violations. Audio processing is not copyright clearance, and neither a successful upload nor a completed mashup confirms that you have permission to publish it.
To report a violation, email [email protected] with the subject "Content Report". Copyright complaints follow Section 9.6. Depending on the violation, we may remove content, suspend or close an account, and report illegal content to the authorities. If you think we acted in error, email us with the subject "Appeal".
11. Privacy and Data Deletion
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data. Card details are processed only by our payment processor and are not stored on our servers. To delete your account, email [email protected] from your registered email address. We remove your access immediately and delete your account data within 30 days (the shorter audio retention in Section 9.5 still applies), except records we must keep by law.
12. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
12.1 No Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR ACCURACY OF AI OUTPUTS. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, a particular generation speed or a particular output quality.
12.2 AI Output Disclaimer
Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete or unrealistic. Do not rely on them for legal, medical, financial or other professional advice.
12.3 Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MASHUPMAKER AND ITS OPERATOR ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
12.4 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages and expenses arising from your use of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or content you generate or upload.
13. Suspension and Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close your account if you materially breach these Terms, if we suspect fraud or abuse, or if the law requires it. If we close your account for a reason other than your breach, we will refund the unused part of any prepaid period.
14. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute will be resolved through binding arbitration under applicable arbitration rules. Before starting any formal proceedings, please contact us at [email protected] so we can try to resolve the issue informally. Nothing in this section limits any mandatory consumer protection rights you have under the laws of your country of residence.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will announce material changes by email or by a notice on the Service before they take effect, and update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest of these Terms remains in effect.
16. Contact
